The Genesis Framework is built to be translated just like all The ThemeMix Genesis Child Themes. Chances are that the translation of your particular language needs help and we’re here to help!
The translation of the Genesis Framework depends on the same mechanism WordPress.org uses to update the core, plugin and theme translations.
If you’d like to help out translating the Genesis Framework into your own locale here are the steps to take.
- Register a user account at translate.studiopress.com
- Head over to Genesis Translations project and log in
- Find your locale (language) and this will load a couple of sub projects on the translations site. The most important ones are the two stable projects. In case of the Dutch language this would be the Stable Release project.
- Click on any text-string that hasn’t been translated yet and submit your translations. That’s it.
When you’ve added a bunch of string translations the validator assigned to your locale will validate the text strings and once the plugin hits a minimum of 80% translated the translation files will actually get imported on your site.
